Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) was established with the vision of transforming the educational
landscape in rural India by providing opportunities for talented students to access quality
education at no cost. Operating under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the
organization oversees a network of fully residential schools known as Jawahar Navodaya
Vidyalayas (JNVs).
Founded in 1986, NVS embodies the philosophy of inclusive education and national integration.
The initiative is designed to identify and nurture young talent, particularly from rural areas,
to enable them to achieve academic excellence and holistic development in a stress-free and
enriching environment.
